Change of Address Fee
Banks are now charging if you forget to change your address with them. If you forgot to update your address and your bank sends your statement or other information to an old address they will charge you to resend the information. Some banks are even charging an address update fee if this happens to you.
Counting Coins
Banks used to count your loose change and coins for a small fee. Now banks are starting to charge fees of up to 5-10% of the change that is counted. Some banks will offer a discount to bank customers but the fees can still add up over time.
Talking to Human Tellers
Banks are encouraging their customers to go electronic and avoid coming into the bank to talk to human tellers. Some banks are charging as much as $10 to talk to a human teller if the customer is enrolled in an electronic bank account.
Replacing Your Bank Card
Bank card replacements are no longer free. Banks are now charging $5 per lost card and there is the option to pay for a rush on the card if you need it right away.
